EDUCATION

Dylan Corlay is driven by a desire to communicate and to share. He taught for several years at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Tours, where he was the conductor of the conservatoire’s symphonic orchestra, and taught bassoon, chamber music and conducting. He is involved with the pedagogical and social project, DEMOS, as Music Director of the Metz youth ensemble.

He also trains teachers in conducting and sound-painting in sessions organised by the Centre National de la Fonction Publique Territoriale. Dylan Corlay holds a Certificat d’Aptitude.

His educational projects are various: in Sao Paulo favelas and in the Japanese city of Sendai, that suffered a catastrophic earthquake, he shared his passion for improvisation and sound-painting with young musicians.

Dylan Corlay bases his teaching on the principle of transversality: he mixes arts together so that musicians, dancers, comedians, plastic artists and so on, exchange and learn about each others.
